Stainless Steel – The new-age metal

Stainless steel has certain key attractive properties - Its corrosion resistance and strength but many prefer it because of its aesthetics.

Stainless steel stands out from carbon steels mostly due to its chromium content. The chromium forms a thin passive layer of chromium oxide on the surface of the steel. This thin layer prevents surface corrosion from progressing into the metal. In case this exterior oxide layer become damaged, it repairs itself quickly by virtue of fresh chromium becoming exposed and oxidised.

Another outstanding feature of Stainless Steel is that it is 100% recyclable. Below we have collected a list of the most popular stainless steel applications.
